News Round-Up

Dartford have signed winger Ben Swallow. The 24 year old spent last season with Newport, making seven starts, before spending the first half of this season with Bromley. Tamworth have released defender Matt Regan by mutual consent. The former Nottm Forest trainee made only two Lambs appearances after signing in the summer, spending time on loan in Conf North.

Accrington have been fined £20,000 by the Football League after it was found that manager James Beattie did not have the relevant qualifications to be their boss. League Two managers have to have at least a B licence with £15,000 of the fine suspended until May pending Beattie qualifying successfully. The League say the club were twice reminded that their manager did not hold the qualification before the fine.

Former Bull Darren Jones has left Shrewsbury by mutual consent. The 30 year old played 17 times this season but has not started a game in a month, with the departure queried by Shrews fans. Woking have signed goalkeeper Mason Springthorpe on loan from Everton for an initial month. The teenager cost the Toffees a six figure fee as a 16 year old from Shrewsbury but he is yet to make his first team debut.
