Alfreton chairman Wayne Bradley has put the club up for sale, the local press are reporting.
With the Reds having achieved their highest ever league placing this season, Bradley is set to end a 12 year spell at the helm of the club. He took over the side in the Northern Counties East League in 2002, winning four promotions to get to the Conference.
Bradley told the press that falling attendances were to blame: “We have got to a point where they won’t pay £18, they won’t pay £15 and affordability is something that is definitely questioned.
“We have got a support level that is going the wrong way and an income level that is following suit."
