News Round-Up

Kidderminster have released three players and offered deals to seven more. Ryan Rowe is joined at the exit door by Adrian Ciezlewicz and Santiago Aloi, both Andy Thorn signings. Defender Chey Dunkley has signed a new one year deal, with boss Gary Whild also exercising contract extensions in the current deals for Tyrone Williams and Nathan Blissett to take the total under contract so far for next season to 12.

Telford boss Liam Watson says he will be working with a larger budget for the coming season. Watson says the increase was only 'a little bit more' but that he is happy and is able to strengthen the Conf North champions. Accrington manager James Beattie has finally passed the exams he needed to hold the job. They will avoid a £15,000 fine as a result. Beattie says he may continue playing as he is currently on 498 career appearances.

Wycombe manager Gareth Ainsworth says they have not scored enough goals, leaving them on the verge of relegation to the Conference. They will fall back into the fifth tier, 21 years after winning promotion to the Football League, if they fail to win at Torquay - or if Bristol Rovers (home to Mansfield) and Northampton (home to Oxford) collect at least a point each.

Carlisle's board have issued an apology for their relegation to League Two. In the lengthy apology they say: 'As directors we acknowledge that we have, at times, been guilty of poor decision making, but every decision is made honestly and with the best intentions of the club in mind. We will now sit down and analyse the season, from our point of view, to assess where we have gone wrong. The directors at this club all give their time and services free of charge and occasionally provide funds to help the club move along. We are determined to see the club prosper and we will continue to work hard to make sure that will be the case.'

Dartford have dropped adult admission prices by £1 to £14 following their relegation to Conf South. Season tickets will be £250. Former Southport coach Pablo Asensio has put his name in to become their next manager. The 41 year old Argentinian is currently coaching at Sunderland after spells with the Sandgrounders, Accrington, and Macclesfield.

New Barrow owner Paul Casson says he will have to spend £400,000 to bring their Holker Street ground up to scratch. He is already ploughing £600,000 into the club to clear debts, and a survey on the ground found 38 issues that need to be addressed including a six figure sum to replace the ageing floodlight pylons. Casson says the club can return to the Football League under his stewardship.
