Bulls News understands that Hereford United were served with a Section 19 Closure Notice on their bars last night.
A bar needs a 'designated premises supervisor' who holds a personal licence in addition to the standard premises licence in order to conduct alcohol sales. With Ellen Moore leaving her role last week, despite Mark Ellis telling several people she was only on holiday, the club no longer has such a supervisor.
Police attended the club last night to issue the notice, meaning the club has 7 days to get the correct licence holder in place or face a permanent withdrawal of their alcohol licence.
Bar staff working at the club from the point of the Section 19 notice being served could also face prosecution if they continue to serve alcohol without the correct licence holder in place.
