The last edition of the Hereford Journal will be published next Wednesday. Owners Midlands News Association say they 'have reluctantly taken the decision to close the title' after 23 years.
The closure of the Journal will mean that Andy Compton is unlikely to be around Edgar Street taking photographs next season.
"I will really miss coming to Edgar Street," 'Compo' told BN.
"Not only for the photographs but the social side as well."
