Agombar And Stevenage

Is there any connection between those currently running Hereford United and Stevenage?

Or maybe it just sheer coincidence Tommy Agombar, Hereford's majority shareholder, and his staff appear to have recruited people who have worked or played for Stevenage.

Apparantly Jon Taylor, the new Hereford United manager, four of the trialists, consultant Mark Ellis, and an unnamed as yet Goal Keeping Coach are all or were involved with Stevenage.

Update Monday 7am: The 'unnamed' coach, said to be Jordan Gibson, has turned down the chance to join the Bulls.

Meanwhile Ryan Impey, currently with Royston, has also decided not to move to Edgar Street.

"Yeah, it would be tempting to join such a massive club, but it's a massive club in name only at the moment, I'd only be playing for a ghost club and to be honest, I'd be betraying football to join them, I would rather play for my home town team," he said.
