Slope will cause Bulls problems
Hereford United will be caused problems by Nuneaton Borough on Saturday - especially with Manor Park's sloping pitch.
Borough defender Lee Howey said he finds it difficult despite playing regularly on a tricky pitch. “There are no easy games in the Conference and Hereford will be no different,” he told strictlyconference.com.
“They have lost their last two games and will be looking to put that right. We like playing at home and want it to become a fortress and a lot of clubs don’t like playing at our place. But we’ve ended up kicking up the hill in the first half of our home games this season and it is difficult kicking against the slope. It doesn’t look so hard when you are watching but trying to kick from the bottom end is not so easy.”
Meanwhile, Hereford United fan Katy Jaekel says she hopes to raise several hundred pounds from her sponsored cycle ride in support of the club. Katy spent Bank Holiday Monday riding from Hereford to Worcester, to Gloucester and then back to Hereford, a distance of around 90 miles, report BBC Hereford & Worcester.
