Hereford in southern section
Hereford United have been placed in the southern section of the LDV Vans Trophy for the 2002/03 competition.
The Bulls could face several local derbies in the southern section including matches against Bristol City, Cardiff City, Cheltenham Town, Swindon Town, Kidderminster Harriers or Swansea City. Joining the Bulls from the Conference are Chester City, Dagenham & Redbridge, Stevenage Borough, Woking and Yeovil Town.
In the Football league's madness, Chester City are in the southern section by Shrewsbury Town and Wrexham are in the northern section! The reasoning is that there are then six Conference sides in each section, but it does seem a little out of balance!
The first round draw is on Saturday, 21st September, live on Sky Sports' Soccer AM programme.
