Tretton back for Boro' clash?
Hereford United could have Andrew Tretton back in the heart of defence for tomorrow's trip to Nuneaton Borough, kick off 3pm.
The former Shrewsbury Town defender has declared himself fully fit for the game, but Hereford will miss midfielder Ben Smith for the game at Manor Park.
United will not face former 'keeper Chris MacKenzie in the match, though. The 30-year-old stopper was sent off in the last minute of the 1-0 defeat by Southport on the first day of the season and serves a one-match suspension.
Midfielder Barry Williams is doubtful with an ankle injury, although manager Steve Burr has not ruled him out of his plans entirely.
Borough will be looking for a repeat of the corresponding fixture last August that ended in a 2-0 win for the home side.
Hereford captain Ian Wright has blamed poor defending for the Bulls' two recent defeats, against Morecambe and Gravesend & Northfleet.
In tonight's Evening News, he is quoted as saying: "It's always a tight game when we play Nuneaton and after two defeats its important we try and bounce back. We've had a good start but we didn't play well at Gravesend and gave away three bad goals while on Monday we shouldn't have lost but we did. Tomorrow gives us a chance to get back to winning ways and try and keep our momentum going."
Meanwhile, striker Andy Baird, who was a trialist at Edgar Street this summer, is set to become player/coach at Hellenic League side Brackley Town.
