Bulls interested in Anyinsah

Hereford United are reported to be interested in Joe Anyinsah according to the Gloucester Citizen but may be beaten by Forest Green Rovers to get the young striker's signature.

The FGR manager Alan Lewer still needs a striker. He replaced one of his signings, Jefferson Louis, with Julian Alsop before 2004 was out, but is now keen for a pacy forward and is vying with Tamworth and Hereford to snap up Joe Anyinsah from Bristol City.

The 20-year-old, who made his first-team bow this season after graduating from the reserves, needs competition and is due to let Lewer know today whether he wants to take up the offer of a loan.

Meanwhile it is thought that there will be one new face at Burton for the Bulls this evening. Although Graham Turner considers the Conference Cup a waste of time, he is expected to make a few changes to the line-up that started last Saturday.

The side won't include Rob Purdie who is still sidelined with injury.
