Four arrests at Shots game

Four persons were arrested by Hampshire Police last Sunday when Aldershot played Hereford United reports the Aldershot News and Mail.

Four people were arrested at the match, three for breaching their football banning orders and one for criminal damage.

He had thrown a brick at the Hereford coach as it pulled away from the ground, smashing a window.

Of the three that broke their orders, two were from Aldershot and one from Hereford.

"For the Aldershot people who have banning orders, two hours before the match they are not allowed within 500 metres of the ground," said Chief Insp Sherrington.

"They are observed by the officers in the area at a time when they shouldn't be there. The person from Hereford was arrested in the ground. We work with their officers as well to identify their known troublemakers."

Meanwhile the paper speculates that Aaron McLean may be about to leave Aldershot.

"On form, his presence needs no introduction. But as matters stand, and with (Terry)Brown making it clear that shipments may have to be exported in order to balance the finances before new faces appear, the striker (McLean) could well be on his way out."

Updated 6.15pm.

Aldershot have confirmed that manager Terry Brown has signalled his intent to bring in new blood to his play off challenging side by placing three players on the transfer list this afternoon. Striker AARON MCLEAN, defender CHRIS GILES and midfielder HUGH McAULEY have all been made available for transfer.
