Bristol City are struggling to bring a strong side to Edgar Street on Saturday for their friendly against Hereford United. Manager Brian Tinnion may be forced to bring some acadamy players into the side to make up numbers.
Bristol also have a friendly against Clevedon Town on Saturday.
According to the Bristol City Official Website five first teamers have been hit by injury or illness in the lead up to Saturday's games at Hereford United and Clevedon Town.
Bradley Orr and Alex Russell are both struggling with hamstring problems, the former being the more serious concern. Clayton Fortune has strained a thigh muscle, Jamie Smith's ankle is still "not quite right" and trialist David Burborough has been hit by a virus.
Leroy Lita is also unlikely to be available as talks over his proposed transfer to Championship club Reading continue.
So from the 21 players handed squad numbers on Monday, Tinnion looks certain to have just 16 available to select from.
Hereford United will be without both Jamie Pitman and Simon Travis as they recover from their injuries.
