Don't underestimate Turner

Graham Westley gets pride of place in today's Non-League paper, and he uses it to proclaim that Stevenage will win the Conference title.

With Stevenage finishing first, Westley suggests that Morecambe, Accrington, Hereford and either Cambridge or Kidderminster will make the play-offs.

He feels that Andy Tretton, who left Edgar Street for the Interlink Stadium last May, will influence Accrington and that will not help Hereford.

"I have gone for Hereford in fourth because of Tretton's loss. It will not be easy to cope without Andy.

"That said, Graham Turner has produced an attractive, energetic, fast-flowing team and you cannot underestimate a man who has achieved what he has."

Some other comments from the NLP include Alan Lewer, the former Forest Green manager, talking about Hereford.

He thinks that either Aldershot or Hereford will win the Conference and can't beleive that Ryan Green is still in Non-League.

"The experience Hereford and Aldershot have had in the last few seasons will stand them in good stead.

"They both have the quality needed for success and they will be the teams to beat for automatic promotion."
