In an interview in yesterday's Worcester News, John Trewick, the Hereford United coach, said that competition for places in the squad will be fierce.
"We've got a good set of strikers and there is possibly room for another. I think competition is going to be fierce with the strikers we have brought to the club.
"Graham Evans comes with a good goal-scoring pedigree. He scored a lot of goals in the League of Wales and I'm sure he can re-produce that here.
"We've got Guy Ipoua who is more of a replacement for Lee Mills. He's got good physique and good presence, with a lot of experience. I think we needed that type of player.
"We've brought in some very good players throughout the squad. There is good strength in depth.
"We need a squad that is capable of competing right throughtout the season, first of all in the main competition, the Conference, but also if we have a run in the FA Cup, FA Trophy or the LDV Trophy. We will need a big squad to cope with that."
With the first game against Scarborough next Saturday, Trewick spoke about the first month.
"It would be ideal to get off to a good start, but we won't be taking those first couple of games in isolation.
"Looking at the first six games, we will sit down and look to see what a reasonable points tally we would expect from them."
