Premiership player to make decision tomorrow

The Hereford United manager, at the fans forum this evening, said that he expects a response from a Premiership player on whether he will be joining the Bulls on a season long loan. Graham Turner said that he would expect a decision in the next twelve hours by the player.

He described his target as a young centre back, who is playing for a Premiership club at present. He also said that he was playing for the club tonight. Turner went on to say that his other target is a centre midfielder.

The manager also spoke about new signings Andy Ferrell and Graham Evans. Turner confirmed that Ferrell had signed but was still awaiting an international transfer document as regards Evans. He admitted that he had previously looked into signing Evans three or four seasons back but he never really fancied signing him back then. Evans, in the opinion of the manager, is a player who knows where the net is and would be good to bring on if the side were in need of a goal.

Andy Ferrell was offered a contract after the Notts County game, on Saturday the 30th of July, but was due to play for Darlington on the following Monday. However, Ferrell liked the fact that United were impressed with what they'd seen of him and were so willing to seal the deal, he never went back to Darlington and signed for the Bulls.

On the injury front, Simon Travis is expected to be fit again in around two to three weeks. Jamie Pitman's injured shoulder will take a little longer to fully recover but he should be ready for action in around mid September. The other player currently on the sidelines is new signing Stacy Coldicott. He has had a problem with a back injury; the final advice given to him was ten days rest. He has been receiving physiotherapy and has been on anti-inflamatory tablets. Turner did say though, that he should be fit for Saturday.
