Bacon Out Until February

On-loan Burton striker Danny Bacon will be out until February with a broken leg sustained in Sunday's match with Aldershot. Bacon, 25, broke his tibia in a challenge with Aldershot's Greg Heald. The injury will be another blow to Burton boss Nigel Clough as his side are currently bottom of the Conference. Clough launched into a tirade against two of his senior players, Aaron Webster and Jon Shaw, after Sunday's defeat, accusing them of not trying hard enough.

Clough told the Burton Mail "The left-back (Webster) is supposedly one of our better players, who earns a few quid at our club and wants more for a three-year contract, but he's been standing on his heels for the best part of 12 games. He cost us both goals and he even managed to miss the target from seven yards in the 91st minute. Jon is another reason why we're bottom of the league because he's scored once from about 20 chances. He and Aaron are two of our so-called better players and we'll stay bottom if they keep doing what they did today."
