Crawley Fans Rage At Shirt Costs

Crawley Town took delivery of their first replica kit supplies of the season this week - and stunned fans with the price.

After cancelling a three year deal with manufacturers Baliston follow the rejection of several deliveries of replica kit due to quality issues, Crawley switched to similar Nike shirts that the Bulls use and shocked supporters with a £44.99 price tag. What is worse is that the shirts will only be worn by the players until the end of this season - when a new sponsor will adorn both new home and away shirts.

The Club have claimed that higher production costs have forced the price above every other Conference side, however the Bulls retail their Nike home shirt for £35.99, with the away shirt at £37.99 - the current Nike advised RRP of the shirt.

Crawley Town have also hit back at criticism of the new regime by former Chairman Jo Gomm. Gomm, who held the post for six years until this summer's takeover by the SA Group, was stripped of her Vice President title after criticising the rapid change to full time status and questioning the value of signing Daryl Clare for such a high fee. Crawley Town issued a statement yesterday claiming that Gomm failed to repond to any attempts by the Club to contact her since her departure as Chairman.
