Over the past couple of weeks, several ex-Bulls have been on the move. Along with the previously reported departure of Phil Stant as manager of Ilkeston, David Titterton has resigned as manager of Stourport Swifts after three years in charge of the Southern League Western side. The former Bulls, Wycombe, and Coventry utility man is still only 34, and is looking for an immediate return to the game.
Coach Dick Bate, an advocate of several strange free kick strategies during an unsuccesful spell in 1997/8, has left the youth development post he held with the FA to become Technical Director of the Canadian Soccer Association. Bate, now 59, previously was manager of Malaysia and Southend.
Scott Goodwin and Karl Lewis have both joined Rugby Town. Midfielder Goodwin has had brief spells with six different clubs since leaving Kettering after a season in 2003, including Canvey, Tamworth, and Gravesend. Goalkeeper Lewis joined the Bulls non-contract from Moor Green in March as cover for the injured Ben Scott but never made an appearance. He joined Evesham in the summer, and spent a loan spell at Alvechurch, before sealing a move to Rugby this week.
