Speaking in the Non-League Paper, Graham Turner was critical of his team's finishing: "I thought we had a good penalty appeal turned down but you have to put the ball in the back of the net when it's yawning in front of you. With the one that hit the bar we should have been able to finish that off and won the game 2-1. Overall we are just not bright enough 30 yards from the opposing goal and that is a bit of a concern. It was a disappointment also that we have conceded within five minutes of taking the lead. We allowed Aldershot, Crawley, and Halifax shots at our goal immediately after scoring in recent matches and that's just a lack of concentration."
In other Hereford-related NLP news Tamika Mkandawire was named in the NLP team of the week, while Nigel Jemson is denying that he was the "enormously inflated ego" that Phil Stant claimed had made him quit as Ilkeston manager. Stant has refused to name the person, but is quoted as saying "The guy was spreading poison through the dressing room and the boardroom. I knew about it. I was warned about it and I didn't do anything about it."
