Speaking to the Worcester Evening News, Crewe boss Dario Gradi was pleased with the loan move of his striker Matt Bailey to Edgar Street.
"Matt has shown that he can hold his own in Hereford's team. Graham Turner has been pleased with him. He is playing a good standard and scored his first goal last weekend. Let's not forget that last season he was struggling to hold onto his place in Northwich's side, so it shows how he has improved. Matt trains with them but is still undergoing our weights programme that we have devised for him here. He is getting physically stronger all the time and the lad worked extremely hard during the summer."
He has good technique in the air and we really signed him after he dominated (Crewe defender) Colin Murdock in training. He was very impressive that day and if he can get quicker and stronger, then the sky could be the limit for him. There is still plenty of room for improvement but he is going in the right direction and his spell at Hereford will help him even more."
