James: "We Deserved A Point"

Speaking to the Non-League Paper after Friday's match, Tony James felt the Bulls deserved a point: "I think we did deserve something. We played some good football - better than we have been playing for a while and it worked to good effect going forward. It was the perfect start to the second half with the goal, but then we conceded from a set piece which must have people tearing their hair out. We have to defend set pieces better and look to bury the ball in the net a bit more but, tonight, we deserved at least a point.

Darren Randolph, the Accrington keeper, was named in the Team Of The Week by the NLP.

In other news in the NLP, the FA have finally issused a statement on the Paul Fairclough debate following the Conference poll on the England manager: "The FA feels that the issue was dealt with at the last meeting and everything we had to say on the matter was said then."
The FA have confirmed that they have no plans to review the situation until Fairclough's contract expires.

With the FA Cup 4th Qualifying Round draw on Monday, two local teams will be in the hat to face the Bulls. Worcester City beat Tonbridge Angels 3-0 to book their place, while Bromsgrove won at Halesowen 2-0.
Also in the hat are Merthyr Tydfil, Farnborough, Northwich, Barrow, and Weymouth.
