Speaking to the official Hereford United website, Graham Turner admitted that he had tried to blot out the Halifax performance, but he was pleased with the performance at Aldershot - especially in the first half. Speaking about the formation, Turner stated that he chose a formation that suited the players (5-3-2) but that it just wasn't working up front. He decided to go back to a basic 4-4-2, but that it meant that two good central defenders would miss out. On the current league table, Turner said Grays could be described as the surprise package though he expected Morecambe and Accrington to be up there.
Turner confirmed that Adam Stansfield would require surgery on a Double Hernia on Tuesday, and that it would be November before he would be fit, but Ipoua may come back into contention next weekend.
Looking forward to the Canvey game, Turner expected a tough game against a side hard to break down but he was looking for a high tempo performance from his players.
