Speaking to the Worcester Evening News, Graham Turner spoke about the formation of the team: "The system had not been working for us, the players have not embraced the normal system and that's why we've gone to the 4-4-2. The 3-4-1-2 worked well for us in the past, especially two seasons ago when we scored plenty of goals."
"With that system, Ben Smith played in the position behind the front two and scored 14 goals in just two-thirds of the season. But it has not worked out with the players we have here. It was a much-needed victory (at Aldershot). We played particularly well in the first-half and then defended well in the second-half when they put us under plenty of pressure. We scored in the first minute, but it isn't necessarily the best time to score. We scored first at Halifax in the first 10 minutes and then didn't play after that. It obviously gives you a lift but you need to keep going and we did not do that at Halifax. At Aldershot, we made certain that we played well."
