Cambridge United have brought former striker Iwan Roberts, a summer target for the Bulls, in to coach their misfiring strikers. Accrington have parted company with defender Mark Smyth after failing to agree terms on a longer deal with the non-contract player. Burton have extended Jake Sedgemore's loan deal from Bury for another month and hope to tie up Crewe midfielder Lee Bell for another month by the weekend. Altrincham are hoping to sign ex-Morecambe defender Carl Ruffer but face competition from Droyslden. Tamworth will be without Scott Stamps for a month after surgery, but Bob Taylor is likely to be back sooner than expected from a broken foot.
