Stockport's continuing financial problems have led the club to allow high earning defender Danny Griffin to join Dunfermline on trial.
Griffin, 28, is a 29 cap Northern Ireland international and formerly played in Scotland for St Johnstone and Dundee, who paid £600,000 for his services but released him 18 months ago due to a persistent knee injury. This season, however, he has failed to hold down a first team place and will join the Scottish side on Monday for a weeks trial.
Stockport have also allowed young striker Chris Williams to go on loan to Conf North strugglers Leigh RMI for first team experience after the 20 year old forward was limited to just one start for the Hatters this season.
