Amid rumours that he has walked out of the club, Simon Travis is known to be frustrated by his current situation.
After having regained full fitness nearly a month ago, Travis managed just three minutes of first team football, in the LDV win over Port Vale, in the month before playing the full 90 minutes against Exeter, with Graham Turner choosing not to even name the flying full back on the bench for any other game.
Today, Travis was seen to reload his kitbag into his car at 2pm and was pulling out of the car park within seconds of the final whistle. He was visibly angry at not being selected and chose to only make passing comments to supporters who questioned him rather than say something he may regret - responding with a firm "don't know" when asked for a reason for his exclusion.
Graham Turner, unfortunately, has a history of isolating players that question his methods. Several players have been exiled for outbursts against the management in the past with the most recent, Matt Bailey, spending nearly the entire second month of his loan out in the cold. While most of those to feel Turner's wrath have been fringe players and those the fans have not necessarily been keen on the same can certainly not be said of Travis who is a firm favourite among supporters and will surely have the backing of the fans.
