Play-off referee announced

The Conference has announced this morning that Dean Whitestone is to referee the Play-off game on Saturday.

Whitestone has been in charge of two Conference games involving Hereford United this season.

The first was at Canvey Island in February, the second at Edgar Street against Tamworth last month.

In the game at Canvey he sent Hereford's Alex Jeannin off.

Then, with eleven minutes gone of the half, Jeannin received his marching orders in rather unclear circumstances. He was firstly booked, it is assumed, for a foul, which seemed a fair enough challenge, and then was shown a straight red card for, it is thought, foul and abusive language. Whitestone also officiated in a Hereford United game when the Bulls travelled to Cambridge City for a FA Cup game last November.
