Stevenage have compiled a shortlist of six for their soon-to-be vacant manager's job.
Andy Ford, the ex-Gravesend boss who invigorated Stevenage's push to the play-offs as assistant last season, heads the list alongside two other former Conference managers and three with Football League experience.
Mark Stimson and Sammy McIlroy are believed to be the two other ex-Conference managers in the frame with interviews having already started for the post.
