The new manager of Hereford's Maylord shopping centre beleives the promotion of Hereford United will be good for trade.
"The better Hereford United do the more people hear about the city so that must be a good thing," Simon Pullen told the Hereford Times.
Meanwhile the paper reports the finding of the Kilpeck Heli-Bull, a 'much-loved Herefordshire character' who disappeared in Holland some eight years ago.
The bull was made as a mascot in 1995 to help raise money for the county air ambulance and then joined in RAF in 1999. He then disappeared and has recently been found in the USA.
Neil Beaven of the Heli-Bull group says that if the Bull stays in the USA he could go to Iraq so efforts are being made to bring him home.
"We want to get him back in time for the start of the football season so that he can beat the first football match Hereford United play on their return to the Football League," said Beaven.
