Danny Bacon, whom Hereford United fans will remember from his days at Hucknell, could miss Tuesday's game at Edgar Street.
Bacon received nine stitches just above the eye in Lincoln's game against Notts County yesterday which was drawn 1-1. Although he played on he was subbed just after half-time.
It was in the FA trophy quarter final replay at Hucknall in March last year that Bacon helped his then side spring a 1-0 win over the Bulls.
The left wing was where the hosts were enjoying most success and it was no suprise when they attacked again with little more than half an hour gone. Dean Barrick raced onto Andy Todds ball into the box but was denied by the onrushing Mawson. However the ball broke to Daniel Bacon, but Tamika Mkandawire blocked his shot on the line. Bacon was given a second chance as the ball rebounded kindly and this time he made no mistake from six yards out.
Bacon has just started his second season with the Imps. He was loaned out to Burton for a spell early last season but unfortunately broke his leg in the final game of his loan.
Two others of their squad have played against Hereford United. Both Scott Kerr and Colin Cryan came to Lincoln from Scarborough twelve months ago.
