Call for Fairclough to go

Some Barnet supporters are said to have called for manager Paul Fairclough to resign after the Bees were defeated by Accrington Stanley last Saturday.

The Barnet Times says that captain Ian Hendon said that his side 'were not as the races' and that 'not one Bee played to their full potential' at the Fraser Eagle Stadium.

"He prepared us all in the right way but we let him, the club and all the supporters down," he said.

"Me, Paul and the whole team are in this together. None of us go on to the pitch to perform badly and I hope the supporters realise that."

Fairclough told the paper:

"I expect and demand that the players respond."

The manager admitted that 'New boys Hereford have started the season well and Saturday's game will be another tough test in a league that has no easy matches.'
