Hereford United's captain, Tamika Mkandawire, has been talking to the Western Daily Press in advance of the start of the League Two season.
"There are more good teams in League Two than in the Conference but everyone is looking forward to the challenge" said Mkandawire.
"We have played teams like Port Vale and Scunthorpe in cup competitions and have done well, but playing the whole season as opposed to one-off games is totally different. I would like to think we would do well."
Meanwhile Stockport's manager Jim Gannon has also been interviewd by the paper.
"Obviously the fact that we are at home gives us a greater chance to start off with a victory.
"Hereford have done well and are not to be under-estimated because the Conference is a tough league to get out of.
"I am sure they will have an extra spring in their step coming to Edgeley Park."
