Good luck to Hereford - Adams

Micky Adams told this is Coventry that his side 'were all at sea' last night at Edgar Street.

"Good luck to Hereford, who I thought played particularly well, but the way we defended tonight was shambolic and I've got to apologise to our supporters who were here," said the Coventry City manager.

"We had them watched three times, so everybody was aware of Stuart Fleetwood. Our squad were warned all about his qualities.

"He didn't play particularly well at Barnet on Saturday, but tonight he had a good game and I don't want to take anything away from him because we couldn't deal with him. I couldn't say my players cheated in any way, they just made bad decisions in the defending third of the pitch.

"In terms of football we controlled the first half - our pace and our passing was good. But they still broke through and caused us problems and I never felt comfortable all night because we were all at sea.

"There are times when you go through bad spells - we had one like this at the beginning of last season but we came out of it and at the end we could give anybody a game. But at the moment our confidence is at a low ebb, for whatever reason, and we have got to address that. We've got to keep going."
