Both Hereford United manager Graham Turner and his counterpart at Chester, Mark Wright, spoke to the press after yesterday's game.
"The longer the game went on, the sharper we looked and there were some good chances as well as the two goals," Turner told the League Paper.
"For the first hour and a quarter we didn't do so well, but for the last fifteen minutes we got it down and passed it quite well and looked decent.
"Defenders do not like people on their shoulders with the sort of pace that Stuart Fleetwood has. Sooner or later you know he is going to get through with one and, although it was a bit later than we would have liked, it was a good victory for us."
Wright was said to be less happy.
"I don't think we turned up at all this afternoon, if I am being honest.
"Both goals should not have happened in a million years, they should have been stamped out. It was bad defending.
"Hereford played football as we know they could and they deserved to win."
Only Hereford's Stuart Fleetwood made the League paper's team of the week whereas two Chester players were chosen, Laurence Wilson and Roberto Martinez.
