Details of a new savings account designed to help Hereford United were announced last night in BullsEye.
The account is run by the Norwich and Peterborough Building Society who say that Hereford United will get a bonus each year based on the average total balance held in all the Club Savers Accounts during the previous year. This is expected to be 1.25%
For example, if £400,000 is invested at the end of the account year, Jan 1st, then the Bulls would receive £5,000 which is 1.25%
The gross rates currently available are as below:
£100,000 or over: 3.55%
£50,000 to £99,999: 3.05%
£25,000 to £49,999: 2.65%
£5,000 to £24,999: 2.30%
£2,500 to £4,999: 2.05%
Up to £2,499: 1.80%
These rates will be increased by 0.25% on August 17th.
The minimum amount for adults is £100 but a child can start with just £1.
Withdrawals can be made at any time.
