Darlo Deny Rift As Rovers Face "Same Old Problems"

Darlington have again denied that there is any problem between Chief Executive Jon Sotnick and manager David Hodgson.

Sotnick was caught on camera at the weekend booing during a home 1-1 draw with Torquay. Rumours were rift on the eve of the season that Hodgson was on the brink of quitting after a series of rows with Sotnick, who arrived from Boston in July. Darlo currently lie 12th after a disappointing start with one of the largest budgets in the division.

Sotnick told the local press: "On Monday we will have our meeting, as we do each week, when we discuss all issues regarding the club and that includes how the team are doing and their results. It's no secret that there is a degree of frustration at the results, but that is part and parcel of being involved in football."

Meanwhile, Bristol Rovers coach Paul Trollope has blamed the "same old problems" on his side's dismal start to the season: "Obviously it's disappointing to lose, but we've still got the same old problems. We tweaked things a bit at half time but we're definitely getting punished for every little error at the moment.

"Fair play to Stockport, they battled well and their system caused us one or two problems but I felt we deserved to get something out of the game. However, we've said that a few times already this season and that's the problem."
