Notts County boss Steve Thompson has been charged by the FA with using abusive language towards referee Danny McDermid. McDermid, who refereed at Edgar Street on Tuesday, sent off two Notts County players and banished Thompson to the stand during their defeat to MK Dons. Thompson later suggested the referee would be better off in a kindergarten.
Peterboro have taken Liam Davies and Ben Turner on loan from Coventry. The teenage pair will stay at London Road for a month. Accrington have signed defender Rikki Baines on a three month deal. He will act as a replacement for former Bull Andy Tretton, who remains sidelined after knee surgery.
Halifax have retained the services of manager Chris Wilder after he initially resigned to take charge at Cambridge. Wilder quit on Tuesday night, and was due to be unveiled by Cambridge today, but made a u-turn after the club gave assurances on the playing budget.
Wycombe have signed Northern Ireland international Tommy Doherty on loan for three months from QPR. The move is with a view to a permanent deal after the midfielder was frozen out at Loftus Road by new boss Gary Waddock.
