Possibility of further changes for this Saturday says Turner

The Hereford United manager, Graham Turner, has said that he's concerned about the long ball style of football which his side has adopted recently.

Turner has told Trevor Owens of BBC Hereford and Worcester that it's no coincidence that the run of no wins in the last three games has coincided with the tendency of the side to play the long ball game. He thinks some players may be 'lacking in self-belief.'

"Nobody will moan if we make mistakes trying to do the right thing, but at the moment we're doing nothing simply because there is a fear factor involved," said Turner.

"I'm not sure if it's bridging the gap between the Conference and the Football League for a number of the players, but they've no need to worry.

"We've had a good look at a number of teams; we can be a match for any of them if we just get back that little bit of confidence on the ball."

Turner is hopeful of a win against Bury on Saturday.

"We've had one or two changes to the side in the last two games; we changed it quite dramatically for the game on Tuesday, and there's the possibility of further changes for this Saturday."

Turner also revealed that a deal for another mid-field to come to Edgar Street has fallen through.

Meanwhile the referee for Tuesday's Carling Cup game will be Richard Beeby from Northamptonshire.
