O'Kelly surprised by move to Donny

Former Hereford United coach, Richard O'Kelly, has been speaking to BBC Radio Solent about how he learnt he could move to Doncaster. His manager and friend Sean O'Driscoll revealed the news to him.

"I thought he was going to take me for a meal. He didn't tell me anything else, didn't tell me about his job! It was a difficult decision because I've enjoyed myself at Bournemouth, my only problem was that I still live in the Midlands and I found it very difficult personally. But I was pleased that he felt that we got on well enough to work together. I've known him for a few years but you never know someone till you work with them."

Asked about his memories at Bournemouth O'Kelly mentioned John Williams.

"Seeing John Williams again after a few years because I used to play with him at Port Vale. He has certainly put a few pounds on, he's boxing a few weights higher now I think!"

Bournemouth won yesterday against Crewe which delighted O'Kelly who watched from the stands.
