The Bulls will be looking to take their first ever points from Wycombe in Tuesday night's game.
The only two previous league encounters were high scoring affairs. Then League new-boys Wycombe visited Edgar Street in August 1993 and departed with three points in a 4-3 win despite the Bulls Chris Pike scoring twice. By the time the Bulls visited Adams Park it was January 1994 but the same result came from a 3-2 scoreline in favour of the Chairboys with Steve Guppy, who later played for England and is now at Stevenage, scoring the winner.
The Bulls will need to buck up their ideas after Saturday's abysmal performance at Mansfield. Changes are expected from that game with Alan Connell pushing for a start after scoring his first goal in a Bulls shirt, and many people are still wondering when John Wallis will get a first start after an impressive pre-season. The former Gillingham man has not even been on the bench for the last two games and has only made a single 10 minute cameo appearance since the season started despite being given the No. 7 shirt.
Wycombe have started strongly and currently lie third in the table with only one defeat to their name under boss Paul Lambert. The former Scotland international inherited a strong side from John Gorman and has been quick to get the best from one of the promotion favourites. There are several players Bulls fans will recognise in their squad. Tommy Mooney is a Midlands football legend after plying his trade over most of the area. He's scored three this season to add to the 19 he bagged last term. Argentinian Sergio Torres was surprise arrival last summer but the gifted winger has illuminated the division - when he's fit!
