Former Shrewsbury boss, and one-time Bulls forward, Jimmy Quinn has landed the manager's job at Cambridge.
Quinn, who left Shrewsbury in October 2004 shortly after bringing them back into the league, has signed a two year deal at the Abbey Stadium. He was previously linked with virtually every other Conference club and made several high-profile statements of intent long before he had any of the jobs.
Quinn will be best forgotten for a three game non-contract spell for the financially destitute Bulls of 2000. Then 40 he played and failed to score in three games for the Bulls, missing a penalty against Dover that ended up closer to the corner flag than the back of the net.
