Mansfield have signed Leicester City's young full back Alan Sheehan on a months loan.
The 19 year old has played five times for the Championship club first team but has not featured this season. He will go straight into the squad to face the Bulls on Saturday.
Meanwhile, Boston have axed Assistant Manager Paul Raynor after the club lost five of their six opening games. The former Cambridge and Preston player has been offered another role within the club and will give his decision on Monday. Boss Steve Evans said: "Making this decision has been one of the hardest I have ever had to make but to benefit the team, I thought after several sleepless nights, it had to happen. I hope Paul takes up the alternative role and stays at Boston but of course he needs time to clear his mind.
"In relation to the position of assistant manager, the chairman and myself will meet with two prospective candidates that I have chosen and we will see what happens."
