The following letter to the editor of the Hereford Times written by G James appeared in that paper this morning:
With reference to Graham Turner's question,"Where have the missing fans gone?" one instance from the match with macclesfield illustrates one reason.
With five minutes to go Hereford were awarded a corner, but instead of crossing the ball and going for goal number two, what happened? Two players decided to play keep ball and ran out of time. these negative tactics are not want the fans want.
How many shots did Hereford have on goal? You could count them on one hand, and this was against a team yet to win a match.
If it was not for the magnificent performance of Wayne Brown in the Hereford goal Macclesfield would have had their first win.
Of the four league games won at home none has been in a convincing manner. Oh for a coach in the style of Richard Kelly.
May I remind the players and staff of the motto of our local regiment 'Who Dares Wins.'
Graham Turner has done a wonderful job in keeping the club alive, don't throw it all away.
