Travis gets an eight

Simon Travis, the Hereford United player, received an eight in the PA players ratings today.

Surprisingly, on-loan signing John Eustace was only given a seven.

Other Bulls players with a seven were Brown, Mkandawire, and Beckwith.

Hereford were credited with 13 goal attempts of which 6 were on target. As usual the opposition were penalised nearly twice as many times as the Bulls, 14 fouls against 8.

In league games this season to date, Rob Purdie is Hereford's top scorer with five, all penalties, followed by Andy Williams with three.

On two goals are Tamika Mkandawire, Stuart Fleetwood and Alan Connell. Richard Rose and Tim Sills have scored one each.

Just 16 goals in 14 games is the poorest return for several seasons.

UPDATE: It has been pointed out to us that this statistic is not strictly correct as the return was the same at this stage last season. The difference is this season five of those goals have come from penalties. It is also reasonable to point out that the goal difference at present is minus three whereas twelve months ago it was plus six.

With an attendance of 2838 today, the average attendance at Edgar Street so far this campaign is 3201.
