League Two Round Up

Leaders Walsall kept up their impressive recent form with a 2-0 victory over fellow promotion contenders Wycombe Wanderers. Second placed Lincoln City had the victory of the day, winning 5-0 at Barnet, with help from a Jamie Forrester hattrick. Swindon also kept up their good start to the season with a comfortable 3-0 home win over Grimsby.

Accrington won for the first time away from home at Torquay, thanks to strikes from Michael Welch and Gary Roberts. Boston drew 1-1 at home with Mansfield whilst Rochdale held Chester to a goalless draw. Notts County were defeated 2-1 at home to Bristol Rovers, who didn't include Ryan Green in the squad.

Stockport claimed a decent point at Hartlepool, drawing 1-1 whilst next week's opponents MK Dons came from a goal behind to defeat Wrexham 2-1 at The Racecourse. Tuesday's opponents Shrewsbury were beaten 2-1 at Peterborough. Finally, down the bottom of the table, Bury piled more misery on struggling Macclesfield by winning 3-2. Macclesfield now lie 8 points adrift of Boston who are currently 23rd.
