Although Grimsby are below Hereford in League Two, Graham Turner has told BBC Hereford and Worcester that he will treat the Mariners with caution.
"We take the reports we've had with a little bit of caution," remarked the Hereford United manager.
"We know what Grimsby have got in their side. We've seen them play twice.
"Quite complimentary reports despite their lowly position."
The squad are understood to be travelling to Lincolnshire tomorrow.
Meanwhile support for Hereford will be well below normal at Blundell Park on Sunday. The time and day of the kick-off, the lack of goals and the fact that the game is live on Sky will keep many supporters at home.
To date average away support is a very creditable 631. This could drop to under 200 for the Grimsby match.
