Aleaxander Praises Tyler

Peterboro boss Keith Alexander has praised goalkeeper Mark Tyler after last night's 0-0 draw at Edgar Street.

Speaking to the official Peterboro site, Alexander said: "It was a great result and a good battling performance. We never really got going all night, so I was delighted to come away with a point. You have to come to places like Hereford and pick up at least a point if you are going to do anything. Hereford had a tremendous result in the FA Cup on Saturday and are playing well, so it was a good point.

"They never really gave us the chance to get going, they played five at the back and stifled us, but we defended well and I am delighted with the point. You can't fault our away record this season. Admittedly, we didn't offer much going forward tonight, but there we go.

"Mark Tyler made one or two good saves, but that is his job. He is as good as they come in this division and he dealt with what was thrown at him, but they were from long-range."

Tyler himself praised his defence: "I think the weekend caught up with us tonight. Hereford is a hard place to come and get a result, so overall we are happy with a point. It was a bit backs to the wall in the second half, but we take the positives and it was a good defensive display.

"I think the save from the header was the one that gave me a bit of satisfaction, but to be honest, the defence in front of me performed very well. They didn't really have too many clear opportunities in front of goal. Not many team's will come here and get a result."
