Macclesfield earned their first win of the league season as they beat Rochdale 1-0, but they remain nine points adrift of safety. They also had to complete the task with 10 men for nearly an hour after Alex Navarro was dismissed for an elbow.

Second-last Boston lost 3-1 at Chester, while Saturday's opponents Torquay drew 1-1 with Wrexham to remain just outside the relegation zone. Barnet are 20th after losing 1-0 at home to Grimsby.

At the top, Walsall are nine points clear after a 2-1 win at Bury. Lincoln move second after a 1-0 win over Bristol Rovers, as Swindon slip to third with a 2-0 loss at Mansfield - their first win in five.
