Turner's Post Match Comments

Graham Turner spoke to the press after yesterday's game, and was obviously disappointed at the result and performance:

"Their goal took a terrible deflection which obviously gave them a lift, but over 90 minutes our goalkeeper Wayne Brown had barely had a save to make. "

In comparison their keeper made one or two very good saves, but we are not creating enough chances and when we do get in good positions, we have found in our last four or five matches, goalkeepers have done well against us."

Torquay goalkeeper Nathan Abbey was pleased after saving Rob Purdie's penalty: "I have a good record saving penalties this year so I was pretty confident when he took it. As goalkeepers, we are in a no win situation and you just take a gamble and hope for the best. I had to reach high to get to the ball but I was very pleased with that."

Meanwhile, the official Torquay site had no complaints about the reversed penalty decision, calling the moment when the referee pointed to the spot a 'curious decision'.
