It has been revealed that Boston's signing of Peterboro striker Trevor Benjamin only came about because the Pilgrims are getting him for free. The former £1million Leicester forward is still being paid in full by the Posh during his stay at York Street. Peterboro have a glut of strikers on their books after signing several in the transfer window, and paid up the contract of Lloyd Opara after Burton rejected the offer to sign the player on a permanent basis.
Torquay have extended the contract of former trainee Leon Hapgood for another month. The midfielder had toured the south west non-league scene after being released from Plainmoor but was rehired last month as the squad got down to bare bones. Accrington have signed midfielder Romauld Boco to a long term contract. The Benin international is now tied to the club until the summer of 2009.
